The 2011 Korea Cup (11th year) was, for the first time, jointly supported by the BDFI and the ISTD. It was a very successful event which was enjoyed by all who attended. Julie Tomkins, ISTD Fellow Examiner was in attendance and joined myself and a panel of adjudicators for the main events.Kim, Jong-Moon & Um, Hwa-Soon were the festival organisers and promoters who once again did an amazing job in managing and arranging this long standing competition. The lucky winners of this event receive a Government backed scholarship to study dance at the Korean University.
The highlight of this years event was a demonstration by Ning Lu & Ding Fang Zhang. Their portrayal of the Latin Rhythms was absolutely fabulous to behold. The Korean audience were spellbound and loved every minute as could be heard from the rapturous applause which continued for a very long time.
