Since its beginnings in 1997, the BDFI has grown into a respected international organisation, officially established at our first Biennial General Meeting in Blackpool in 1999. From that moment, our Members and National Directors have worked together to elect a strong International Council of Directors. Alongside our Executive Directors, this leadership team continues to guide the BDFI with vision, integrity, and a commitment to elevating dance sport worldwide.

The BDFI exists to champion the highest standards of professionalism and sportsmanship.
